Yesterday was Secretary Clinton's last day.
There were as many people there to say goodbye as there were to say hello.
I was among those greeting her on her first day, and I wish I could have been there to send her off. I have been honored to work for her, and I think history will remember her as one of the great ones. Already there are some nice pieces about her legacy and her future. You can see them on CNN, in the Washington Post, and others.
I am particularly thankful for all she did for LGBT people both inside the Foreign Service and around the world. My life is better for the work she did, the courage she had. I am honored to have played a role in my capacity as GLIFAA in what she did for LGBT Foreign Service folks in her first days.
Goodbye Madam Secretary. We will miss you. Don't rest too long!
