If you won't mind...

I was just hoping some folks to go to this site, where Natusi has reposted his garbage, and leave some comments.

the article points to what i think is a larger problem of a negative or indifferent public perception of the foreign service. most americans have no idea what of what the foreign service is. the people i've met who do know something about the foreign service have espoused views like that of Nasuti.

disdain for the foreign service is tied up with disdain for US foreign policy in general. it's also related to the fact that the FS is a small, selective group that most americans never come in contact with.

How many hollywood movies have been made about foreign service officers? how many politicians take time to say "support our diplomats" as often as they exhort us to "support out troops"? Americans in general underestimate the risks and sacrifices that FSOs and their families make in the service of the nation.

instead of googling nasuti and hounding his articles on the internet with critical comments, we ought to be asking ourselves: what should be done to improve the image of the foreign service?

Nothing to hide at all, "anonymous." Most of my readers know exactly who I am (as I have said many times, how many lesbian former archaeologist American Indians from South Carolina who are now PD officers do you think there are?). But I do have family to protect, and I have been harrassed in the past by commenters who were anti-Foreign Service.

My guess is that Anon #2 is Nasuti.

That is my guess too.
